Since you asked:

"Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp, to guard a title that was rich before, to gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
to throw a perfume on the violet, to smooth the ice, or add another hue unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
to seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish, is wasteful and ridiculous excess."

~William Shakespeare,
ca. 1595

Yup, that's us.

Beauty Bound: Leslie Marsh

For those of you unfamiliar with Leslie Marsh's work, be prepared to be astounded. This multi-talented photographer and mixed media artist never fails to amaze me with her creations.

And even though Leslie has been working on her book series for a little while now, I always enjoy seeing what new twist or technique she is adding. For instance, in addition to coptic binding the interiors of these miniature books, she has added eco-dying of the paper, naturally applying exquisitely beautiful images taken directly from nature.

Leslie will be traveling from her home in Pennsylvania at the end of February to teach this workshop, two days of extraordinary techniques. If you'd like to know more about this workshop, visit our class blog at www.gildingthelilyclasses.blogspot.com.
