Since you asked:

"Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp, to guard a title that was rich before, to gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
to throw a perfume on the violet, to smooth the ice, or add another hue unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
to seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish, is wasteful and ridiculous excess."

~William Shakespeare,
ca. 1595

Fallen Angel...

As I walked from my car this morning with an armload of things, this is what I saw in front of Gilding...this poor little fallen angel, a tiny bird not half the length of my hand. I opened the door, shut off the alarm and went back out to get her, not wanting the threatening skies to pour down on her. She was still soft and limp in my hand, and must have been injured and fallen from the tree just a short while before I came upon her.

It wasn't the best start for a day, but I decided to ponder a little all the good things that are happening in my life right now, and all the wonderful people that have wandered into it of late. There couldn't be a better time than right now, and even though there is enough stress, hours of hard work, and the pinch of pennies to last me a lifetime...there is still so much to be thankful for, so much worth working for, and blessedly, the breath in me to do it. Not so my little fallen angel...

Oh Nancy, no one better could have come upon this wee one than you. To take the time and notice the little things, things that are no more, and to scoop up things thought unworthy... that is worth be blessed such as you are. To my way of thinking... karma.
