Since you asked:

"Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp, to guard a title that was rich before, to gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
to throw a perfume on the violet, to smooth the ice, or add another hue unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
to seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish, is wasteful and ridiculous excess."

~William Shakespeare,
ca. 1595

Yup, that's us.

How fun is this...?

I found these vintage brass bangles a week ago and had time to play around with them day before yesterday. They have a channel down the middle and a raised edge that is perfect for collaging just about anything. I landed on some inky black rayon velvet ribbon and started fishing through the drawers for findings...

I came up with one of my favorites, a little vintage brass pronged filigree that sets off the ribbon perfectly. They were spaced along the ribbon in no time, punched through and hammered on, and then the whole kit and kaboodle was slathered with E6000 and clamped within an inch of its life. I'm going to drill one edge and put a sassy chain tassel on it with a filigree bead cap next to up the ante a little.

Whaddya think?
